Training content

The modules can be summarised under the following headings:

1. Introduction to the European Ecolabel for tourist accommodation services and campsites
2. Energy
3. Waste
4. Water
5. Chemical substances
6. Other services (such as transport, environmental communication, green procurement, organic gardens)
7. Management (EMAS, ISO 14001)

The training includes also a train the trainer manual so that the course can be used in an integrated learning class, which might be appropriate for those not necessarily used to internet training. This manual includes a syllabus, PPT transparencies, best practice examples and questions and answers for testing students. Since the programme will be available online, there is almost no limit to the number of copies available and the potential number of users, but for practical reasons (such as monitoring and correction of the students) only a set number of learners will be facilitated at any one time.
